By late 2011, there were nearly 3,000 Naibu branded stores and sales outlets in 21 provinces and three municipalities across China. Some are directly owned by distributors although most are owned by sub-distributors. In addition to stand-alone stores, Naibu outlets can also be found in department stores and supermarkets. Naibu chooses the locations of new stores in discussion with the distributors, taking account of market research, estimated costs and sales potential. The Group offers the store owners guidance on how the products should be best presented in order to ensure quality is maintained. A typical distributor-owned store has between three and seven staff, including a store manager for large stores.
 
This considered and well-executed approach to store location has helped establish Naibu as the number 10 brand in the booming Chinese sportswear market, which is still experiencing consistent sales growth. Naibu’s marketing department also monitors current and future consumer trends, as well as the sales performance of competitors.
